eCub
eCub is a Windows program that lets users build EPUB ebooks compatible with a wide range of devices. It supports several common input formats, including HTML. Additionally, a basic text editor is provided. Please note that eCub is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.
Book creation
After starting the application you can import source documents by clicking the corresponding button in the main interface. It is possible to quickly navigate between individual chapters and search for specific words. Various metadata values might be defined manually for better library organization as well, including:
- Title;
- Author name;
- Publisher information;
- Genre, etc.
Like in calibre, there are instruments for adding cover art images and a table of contents to the project. This is particularly beneficial when managing large digital collections.
Export capabilities
Users are able to preview the book before saving it to the hard drive, analyzing how it will appear on compatible devices to save time on external testing. Resulting EPUB files can be opened on a wide variety of smartphones, tablets and specialized reader devices.
