This utility is oriented toward radio amateurs. It allows users to set up an automatic repeater for playing custom voice announcements on a predefined schedule.
EchoStation
EchoStation is a Windows software for sending radio signals using a desktop computer. A compatible hardware transmitter like RIGBlaster is required. There is support for various standard repeater functions such as COR, CW ID, voice ID and courtesy tone.
Use cases
You can announce information to a wide range of listeners to inform them about upcoming meetings and other events. It is possible to transmit informational bulletins like ARRL Audio News and Amateur Radio Newsline on HF frequencies or through a local repeater.
The Emergency Communications module allows users to schedule periodic SKYWARN transmissions. There is an option to link two repeaters together for expanding coverage area.
CW setup
Similar to DigiPan, this program contains instruments for tuning the CW antenna by adjusting the speed, pitch and envelope parameters. A button for testing the signal strength and clarity is included as well.
Announcement settings
You are able to configure the app to wait for inactivity before beginning the transmission. The time interval is customizable. There is an option to ignore interruptions shorter than a predefined duration.
Checkboxes for including the ID at the end of every announcement and automatically pausing the transmission in case of signal interference are available.
