dvdSanta is a Windows program that lets you create DVD-Video movies from video files, images and digital camcorder tapes. Additionally, there are options for recording disc images to blank media.
Conversion process
After starting the software users can choose one of the sources to create a new DVD-Video project:

- photo slideshow;
- digital camcorder;
- disc image.
Supported file formats include AVI, VOB, MPG and MOV. You are able to import MP3 and WMA audio tracks as well as JPG and BMP images. Additionally, SRT and SUB subtitle files can be added to the project. The resulting image resolution and aspect ratio are customizable. Moreover, it is possible to specify custom video and audio delays. Advanced MPEG matrix quantization properties are provided. You can preview separate clips and images in the default system app by clicking the Play button.
Digital camcorder capture
Users are able to import clips from any DV camera and convert them to the DVD-Video format. Image quality attributes such as brightness and contrast can be tuned for achieving the best results. Like in Nero, finished movies can be burned to blank optical discs.
