DSEmu is a Windows program for emulating Nintendo DS console games. It supports a wide range of classic and lesser known titles. Additionally, you can tweak advanced visual parameters and remap input controls. There is an option to save and load personal progress as well.

How it works

After starting the software users are instructed to import ROMs downloaded from various online sources. Compatible file formats include:

GBA;
NDS;
ZIP;
BIN.

Similar to MelonDS, DSEmu works with multiple games such as New Super Mario Bros., Pokemon, Legend Of Zelda, MEGO Marvel Super Heroes and many more. It is possible to emulate local multiplayer for titles that originally supported wireless play.

Game settings

You can upscale the output image via advanced rendering options, making pixelated DS visuals sharper and more vibrant. Moreover, instruments for adjusting aspect ratio to cater to different screen sizes are provided.

Users are able to map individual keyboard buttons to specific actions, replicating DS touch and button inputs. Several models of external controllers are supported as well. Furthermore, the current game state can be saved at any point. This functionality transcends original DS limitations.
