DJI Assistant is a program for Windows that allows you to update the firmware of a quadcopter of the same name. With it users are able to control the drone and copy flight data to their computer. It is also possible to roll back the software to a previous version.

Setup

To use the main functions of this application, you need to connect the drone to your computer using a USB cable. After that, you will be prompted to download and install the drivers. Next, information about available firmware updates will appear on the screen.

Firmware update

In contrast to iPodWizard, this utility allows you to update the software in automatic mode. All you need to do is select the desired version and wait for the operation to complete. It is recommended that you keep the quadcopter connected to your PC during the installation. After a successful update, the drone will automatically reboot to commit modifications.

Statistics

In the Statistics menu you are able to see detailed information about performed flights. It is possible to see the dynamic changes in the average speed, range and flight altitude. Additionally, you can export this data in DAT format to analyze it with 3rd party applications.
