This graphics editing software allows you to place realistic lighting sources in virtual rooms. There is a large catalog of luminaries from various manufacturers.
DIALux
DIALux is a Windows application for designing, calculating and visualizing lighting conditions in rooms, buildings and outdoor areas. Users can import floor plans from other engineering applications and edit blueprints to better fit the layout.
Creating a new project
You are able to begin from scratch or choose one of the included tasks on the welcome screen. There are instruments for creating a room blueprint or importing an existing 3D layout from AutoCAD. Moreover, you can design lighting schemes for street lamps and outdoor areas such as car parks and forest paths.
A large library of realistic lighting sources from a wide variety of manufacturers is included in the program. Users are able to sort the items by mounting mode, shape, dimensions, light distribution and other parameters. Product data sheets with detailed descriptions and advanced technical characteristics are available for every product. It is possible to include daylight sources in the project as well as specify clear, overcast and cloudy sky conditions.
Calculations
After adding all artificial and natural elements you can calculate overall light levels. Specific lumen values for every part of the layout are provided. You can analyze rooms and buildings in 3D mode.
