Delta Patcher is a Windows utility that allows you to apply XDElta patches to game ROMs. There is an option to verify the checksum. The Log section contains detailed information about the currently opened file. Other programs with similar functionality like Xdelta UI are available for download.

Main purpose

With the help of this application users can embed the xdelta.exe executable package into any ROM file. These items are utilized for emulating obsolete video games.

The XDelta tool provides compatibility with the standardized VCDIFF format to manipulate memory values in real time. It lets you customize internal gameplay parameters.

How it works

After starting the program users are prompted to select the source ROM file. The next step is to specify the path to the XDelta patch and click the corresponding button to begin the process. There are options to automatically create a backup copy of the original package and verify the checksum before applying the update.

Patch creation

This mode is intended for generating custom XDelta updates. You can change the compression level and source window size. Additionally, an option to insert the checksum value into the resulting file is included.
