The modification for Minecraft helps you see the health status of creatures you are fighting against. Moreover, you can edit the config files to add new content.
Damage Indicators
Damage Indicators is an interface mod for Minecraft that adds an RPG-like feel to the game by displaying the health of mobs located nearby or the ones that you are targeting. It comes with many configuration parameters and is capable of working on multiplayer servers.
Purpose
The main goal of this modification is to give you the ability to track the health status of your enemies. Thus, you can view what effects are currently applied to mobs like zombies, creepers, spiders, and even villagers. This may be also very useful for other mod packages that introduce new types of creatures like Mo Creatures, Digimobs, and PaleoCraft.
Functionality
When any mobs in your world are hurt, the damage they received will bounce off their head with a colorful effect. If you mouse over them, a small portrait preview with current health values will appear. In order to adjust advanced settings you need to press the Period key while in the game.
Alternatively, you are able to modify parameters by changing config files themselves, so full compatibility is ensured. In case you want to further customize the in-game interface, you may try a variety of other modifications, such as Zyins HUD, DirectionHUD or TabbyChat.
