D2SE is a special program for Windows that gives you the ability to quickly change between mods created for different versions of Diablo II. It was developed by Seltsamuel of the original game and its expansion Lord of Destruction. The software package contains only unmodified DLL and patch files from LOD.

Setup

After you have downloaded the necessary files, you can simply double-click the executable file to install the application. The setup processes several steps where you are prompted to specify the path to your Diablo II directory and asked to name the folder for your shortcut in the Start menu.

Brief review

This program allows you to run various Diablo II versions and almost every mode based on them. However, it is necessary to note that the modifications themselves are not included and need to be installed separately.

Additionally, the tool creates its own save folders for each mode and for each of the cores, which are placed in the main directory. This also applies to the shared chest as well as all log files and screenshots.
