D ViewCam is a Windows app that contains instruments for controlling security cameras over the network. There is support for various popular stream compression algorithms. Video from the devices can be recorded and stored on the hard drive for future playback.

Configuration

This utility offers users an option to automatically create a virtual map of the facility based on camera location and orientation for easier hardware management. The device tree section contains a list of all connected and detected security appliances.

Like in iVMS 4200, there are advanced surveillance capabilities for detecting events from magnetic door sensors, emergency buttons, cameras, smoke detectors, card readers and other security devices. You can configure email notifications and audio alarms.

Backup system

It is easy to schedule regular video recording sessions. The archive may be stored in the modern H.265 file format for saving disk space. Users are able to monitor a live feed while watching previously captured files on another display.

There is a tool for reconstructing, repairing or relocating video databases. This functionality is useful for moving the archive to another hard drive or computer.
