Copious Dogs is a mod for Minecraft that adds multiple breeds of dogs to live in your world. The main goal of this program is to give you a companion to aid you in your travels. First of all, you need to find a dog. They will spawn randomly throughout the map. Certain dogs can appear in special biomes, such as huskies in snowy plains, and Bernese Mountain dogs in mountains.

Recruiting a dog

After you have located a dog you want to tame, you have to feed it a biscuit. Once it gets accustomed to your presence, you are able to put a collar on the creature. Please note that using a leash, your pet will follow similar to a wolf. At the moment, Beagles, Chihuahuas, Dalmatians, German shepherds, golden retrievers, and a wide assortment of other breeds are included in the modpack.

Care

If your dog takes damage you cannot feed it directly, you need to place a special dish and fill it with pork. Then, your pet will run over to it and regain health by eating. Every time it consumes food, you will have to add more to the dish. Please note that dogs can also be named by giving them a name tag. If you want to add more biomes and mobs, you may use other modpacks for Minecraft like Biomes O Plenty, PaleoCraft, Aether or Millenaire.
