ClearTerminal is a comprehensive program for Windows developed for the needs of M2M and wireless device developers. Basically, it provides access to an advanced terminal that supports X-Modem, command history, copy and paste functions, time stamps, hex output, and more. For instance, it is also possible to customize the color scheme and utilize large buffers for long term logging.

New connection

Similar to HyperTerminal, the main goal of this ClearConnex product is to help you establish connections with remote computers. Please note that the application does not require installation on a hard drive, thus you can run it by simply double clicking the executable file. After launch, you are greeted with a standard display with a toolbar above for accessing settings and initiating new connections.

Preferences

The software allows you to configure a considerable number of settings, namely pick the display mode, enable timestamping, select background color and font. Other preferences include the ability to specify the total number of lines in the screen buffer, set dimensions of the virtual terminal, and activate line wrapping. Additionally, you are able to limit the maximum number of commands to store in the history.
