CleanUp is a Windows program for detecting and removing unused data from the computer. It allows you to improve overall system performance and free up the space on the hard drive. Like in Temp File Cleaner, there are options for excluding certain locations from the scan and erasing browser bookmarks.

Main capabilities

After starting the utility users can select the types of data that will be deleted. It is possible to empty the recycle bin as well as remove temporary internet files and cookies. Additionally, there is a checkbox for resetting high scores in all standard Windows games.

Several operation modes are provided. You are able to select the most fitting option in the Settings menu. All actions can be recorded to a text file for troubleshooting in case of potential issues.

Advanced parameters

There is a registry editor that allows users to manage internal system records. This functionality is helpful for repairing broken or corrupted entries.

The Temporary files tab contains a list of all file extensions that will be cleared up after the scan. You can manage the existing types and add new ones. The Reset to default button rolls back all changes. There is an option to delete files securely so they cannot be restored afterwards.
