With the help of this utility users can perform a series of benchmarks to evaluate the CPU performance. It is possible to save the results for future comparisons.
Cinebench
Cinebench is a Windows tool for estimating the speed of your processor by applying heavy loads to it. The evaluation is done by rendering a 3D scene that contains more than 300 thousand polygons. All CPU cores are utilized during the process.
Testing
The program does not require installation. After unpacking the included archive users can run the extracted executable file and click the Start button to begin the test. It is recommended to not perform other operations while testing the processor to get more accurate results.
During the process the main window will gradually be filled with a complex 3D scene. It includes multiple lighting sources, reflections, shadres, textures, antialiasing filters and many other graphical elements. Cinebench is able to utilize up to 256 logical CPU threads simultaneously to speed up the rendering. All modern processors are supported. Similar to Everest, you can test both single-core and multi-core performance. The minimum test duration is customizable as well.
Comparison
Final score is displayed on the left side of the interface upon completing the estimation process. Users are able to compare their results with an online ranking database. This functionality is helpful for ensuring that the CPU performs at an adequate level.
