Chief Architect is a Windows application for designing residential and commercial buildings. There is a large library of standard structural elements like walls, windows, doors, roofs, etc. Moreover, you can use the provided catalog of beds, desks, tables and other furniture to plan room layouts.

Like 3D Home Architect Deluxe, this program allows users to design 3D models of buildings. It is possible to generate a list of required materials and produce construction documentation. There are tools for creating detailed site plans and elevation maps as well.

You can render complex visualization models for kitchens, bathrooms and other common types of rooms. A large selection of wallpapers, carpets, wood panels and other textures is available. The utility allows you to place home entertainment systems, office equipment, ceiling fans and many other elements in the workspace.

It is important to mention that the free trial version of Chief Architect does not allow users to save or export the project.

Drawing tools

There are instruments for inserting lines, arcs, circles, rectangles and other geometrical shapes into the blueprint. Moreover, you can add text blocks and dimension scales to the drawing. Projects with multiple layers are supported.
