Chessimo is a Windows tool oriented toward both professional chess players and beginners. There is a database of classic games for analyzing common positions. Please note that Chessimo is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available.

Training

Users can choose the opponent level before starting the match. There is a section with the list of all previous moves on the left side of the interface. Tools for flipping the board to view the game from another perspective are included. You are able to undo and redo the last move as well.

It is possible to automatically analyze the current position and identify the best next step. Similar to Chess Position Trainer, the application takes into account a variety of factors such as material advantage, positional advantage and king safety.

Game database

There is a massive collection of famous matches and classic chess challenges. You can follow any game step by step to better understand advanced tactical and strategic concepts. The integrated search module is helpful for quickly filtering the database by difficulty level, player, year and other attributes.
