Character Creator is a Windows program for designing unique video game characters. It is possible to create skeletal meshes for realistic motion simulation. Various skin and makeup tools are available as well.

Design process

After starting the software you can create a new project or open an existing model. There is support for several popular file formats.

There is a vast online asset library with thousands of options for the hair, cloth, skin tones, accessories and props. Users are able to quickly browse, download and install new packages.

It is easy to modify separate facial features like the mouth, eyes and nose. You can adjust the height, weight and character body structure. Various scene parameters are available for configuring lighting and camera settings.

Rendering and exporting

This application allows users to preview the model before saving it. There are options to render an image or a short video clip that includes animations.

The resulting 3D object can be exported as an OBJ file for further processing in Blender or another similar utility. Alternatively, you are able to save the project in FBX, BVH, and USD formats.
