Chameleon is a program for Windows that enables you to automatically change your wallpaper based on weather conditions, your battery level or the time of day. If you want to simply view the forecast in your location, you may use MSN Weather.

Overview

This is a relatively simple application, using which you can change wallpapers in accordance with current time of day and weather. In addition, you are able to monitor the atmospheric conditions in a certain location and change the desktop images to match them. The tool is capable of tracking the overall weather status, wind speed, temperature, humidity and heat index.

Adaptive desktop customization

The software does not come with any preset wallpapers, so you have to insert pictures manually. It is possible to add an image for each particular situation, and the utility will automatically change your desktop appearance when the right conditions are met.

In order to use any of the weather-tracking functions, you need to provide your location. This can be done by accessing the Settings menu and selecting your state as well as choosing one of the available weather stations. Unfortunately, only locations in the United States are supported at the moment.
