CCminer is a Windows crypto currency miner. It is an open source application developed specifically for NVIDIA Cuda compatible graphics processor units.

Setup

To get started, you can put the miner on your desktop or in any directory where you want to run it and then unpack the archive. After it is done, the program will probably be marked by Anti-Virus software, which is the most common problem for all mining programs. The downloads from our and the developers website are verified and tested. Thus they are safe, so all you need to do to continue is add exceptions to the file path.

Basic functions

Once the application is unzipped into a proper folder, users are able to simply copy or enter the code, edit the wallet address, pool address, and then start mining a particular coin. It is worth noting that the miner supports a wide range of crypto currencies and algorithms.

Similar to PowerShell, the utility does not feature a comprehensive graphical user interface. All interactions with it are done via the command line.

Troubleshooting

Miner crash, shutdown, unauthorized access to memory are some of the most common errors in any mining software. Basically, to avoid these, first you have to download and install the latest NVIDIA drivers. Additionally, sometimes the program crashes immediately after opening. In such cases you need to monitor your GPU and make sure that you do not overclock it. It is recommended that you start with the default clock settings when your system is developing a new algorithm.
