Cartographer is a Windows program that contains a modification for the classic World of Warcraft online video game. The main purpose of the plugin is adding new functionality to the map. For example, users can display the coordinates for any point in the game world. Other plugins for expanding basic WoW features such as Skada are available for download.

New capabilities

After installing the modification you can access information about active battlegrounds everywhere. Moreover, the fog of war is automatically removed to reveal all unexplored areas.

Another helpful feature of Cartographer is the ability to quickly identify the coordinates for any place on the map. This is useful for recording points of interest and sharing information with other players.

Users are able to view the location, level and class of nearby characters. All salvageable resources like herbs and minerals are shown as well.

Configuration

You can enable a minimap that will always be displayed on the screen. It is possible to change the size, shape and position of the new module. Additionally, there is an option to tune minimap transparency level to better fit personal requirements.
