CapWiz is a Windows application for capturing video output from analog sources and converting recorded clips to a wide range of file formats. Additionally, it is possible to trim, split and merge individual fragments to better fit the project.

Capture

After starting the software users can begin the recording process by clicking the corresponding button in the main window. The next step is to select the correct source and specify the target directory for captured files.

Please note that CapWiz is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer. The installation files are not available. There are other apps with similar functionality like ION EZ VHS Converter.

Processing capabilities

The Audio Lock feature allows you to ensure that the audio and video in the recording are always in sync. There are instruments for image stabilization and noise reduction as well. Additionally, it is possible to automatically detect separate scenes in a large clip and split the file accordingly.

Users are able to add seamless frame transitions and beautiful visual effects to the resulting video. Moreover, tools for inserting background music into the recording are included. There are flexible export options.
