CapturePerfect is a program for Windows that enables users to capture documents. It was specifically designed for the Canon DR series of office scanners. This application is a good solution for batch processing sheets of different formats, including two-page spreads.

Stop feed functions

The utility is capable of recognizing various types of physical documents. For example, it can detect multifeeds or stapled copies and stop the machine to prevent sheet skipping. Additionally, you have the ability to automatically leave out blank pages in batch scanning mode.

Other useful tools include automatic skew correction, which straightens the image if the sheet is uneven. You can also auto-rotate images to restore the correct orientation to the scanned document.

Compatibility and configuration

Similar to ABBYY ScanTo Office, the program supports both ISIS and TWAIN drivers. What is more, it provides advanced image processing capabilities. During the pre-scan stage, you are able to adjust the brightness, saturation, contrast, as well as remove some colors to get a clearer scan.

Scanning options

Enhanced OCR enables you to correctly scan documents written in fine print, light ink, pencil or on colored backgrounds. Moreover, the utility has the MultiStream function, which allows you to get two versions of the output image – in color and black and white.
