BlueSuite is a development program for Windows that was designed to help you customize Bluetooth devices. If you simply need to wirelessly transfer files to your mobile phone, you may use special tools, such as BlueSoleil or Bluetooth Phone Transfer Software.

Overview

Basically, the software distribution offers a set of graphical and command-line applications to configure, test and program the BlueCore device. It also provides a set of libraries for developing products, a collection of device drivers and helpful documentation.

Flashing methods

The utility allows you to download and install different control firmware packages. This means that you can update your BlueCore devices either via BlueFlash or DFUWizard. The first method is mainly used during development and involves using the Serial Peripheral Interface. Please note, you are able to use the TestFlash component for the same purpose on the production line.

The second method allows you to upgrade the firmware both in development stages and in the field. It is necessary to mention that it requires the loader to already be present in the device. These firmware files can only be updated by BlueFlash.
