Big Reactors is a modification for Minecraft that adds multi-block power generators capable of providing large amounts of RF power. The specific arrangement and the material components in each structure determine the performance and behavior of the system as a whole.

Crafting

Generally, you are able to set up an electrical grid in one of two ways. A reactor may provide RF energy directly, or it can produce superheated steam which is then pumped into a turbine to generate power. The latter option is expensive, but also more efficient. The minimum size of a reactor is three blocks in each direction. However, you have the ability to create systems with several multi-block structures of nearly indefinite proportions.

Fuel and power

Since reactors require fuel to run, the mod offers Yellorite Ore for manufacturing Yellorium Ingots for this purpose. It is also possible to use Uranium Ingot or Raw Uranium Ingot as resources. Reactors produce waste in the form of Cyanite Ingots, which is reprocessed into fuel.

Turbines need steam to generate power. It can be gotten from a reactor, or from another modification that adds the same capabilities like Extra Utilities. Steam is converted back into water that you are able to recycle into a reactor to produce more steam.
