Benbox
Benbox is a Windows application for processing bitmap images before transferring them to the metallic surface with the help of a laser engraving device. There is support for a wide range of models from several manufacturers.
Graphics editor
This tool lets you import any BMP, PNG and JPEG files. Pictures are automatically converted to the grayscale format. There are buttons for resizing, flipping and distorting the photo to better fit the project. Rulers at the top and left sides of the workspace are helpful for correctly positioning the image.
Like in Dr Engrave, users can add circles, lines and other shapes to the design. Moreover, there is an option to insert a text inscription. The size and style of the font is adjustable.
Engraving parameters
It is possible to tune stepping, direction and speed settings for achieving better results. Advanced laser and servo options are provided as well. You are able to lower the feed rate in case the device cannot keep up with the software.
