Installation
The first step is to connect your USB flash drive to your computer. You need to ensure that the storage device is formatted to FAT32 and not NTFS. To perform this operation, you can use such tools as Fat32formatter and FlashBoot.
Then you have to move the downloaded update file to the root directory of your USB stick. Now you can connect the flash drive to your Bebop 2 drone. The deployment process will initiate automatically, and your UAV device will reboot on its own.
Confirmation and updates
To confirm that the update has been successfully applied, you need to launch the FreeFlight 3 application, press Free Flight, and navigate to the Settings menu. Here you can see the version number displayed in the general information menu.
By installing the firmware it is possible to improve flight plan capabilities of the drone. You also have the option to add new features like Secure Link and Point of Interest. In addition, you will gain the ability to plot progressive courses between two waypoints by adjusting the rotation.
