AVS DVD Player is a Windows program for playing movies and songs. There are tools for removing regional restrictions from DVD discs.

Playback options

Users can open video clips in all popular formats such as AVI, MPEG, WMV, VOB, MOV and MKV. Moreover, it is possible to play 3GP files that are intended for mobile devices. There is support for audio playback as well. MP3, WAV, WMA and other formats can be opened.

The main window contains controls for starting, pausing, fast forwarding and rewinding media files. A volume slider is provided along with a mute button.

It is worth mentioning that this tool requires third-party codecs for correct functioning. To open any video without installing additional software you can download VLC Media Player.

Ripping DVDs

There is an instrument for converting DVD movies to video files. It is possible to customize the quality and resolution of the final item. Presets for various mobile devices are provided. Experienced users can adjust several codec settings before starting the operation.

Additional capabilities

You are able to select different audio tracks in case the movie contains several of them. Moreover, there is an option to load external text subtitles. It is possible to choose the speaker configuration. Surround sound and DolbyProLogic technologies are available.

Please note that AVS DVD Player is an obsolete software and no longer supported by the developer. It cannot be started in Windows 10 or newer.
