Aud-X 5.1 Surround Codec is a Windows software for encoding and decoding audio tracks in various formats. You can configure conversion parameters to adjust the output quality and filesize.

Main purpose

This easy to use program contains audio codecs for transforming songs from one format to another. Users can convert uncompressed WAV recordings with 6 sound channels to standard MP3 tracks playable on any hardware. Advanced encoding settings are provided. It is possible to create small files suitable for online broadcasting. Alternatively, users are able to select the superb setting for generating the track with the best possible audio quality. There is an Info button alongside every option with additional information.

It is important to note that Aud-X 5.1 Surround Codec does not support OGG, FLAC and other modern audio formats. You can download AV Music Morpher Gold to work with these containers.

Decoding process

Users are able to create AC3 audio tracks from MP3 songs. The Decode tab contains quality parameters for the output file. There is an option to disable compression altogether for generating 6 channel PCM tracks. It is possible to select one of the provided bitrate values for adjusting the resulting filesize.
