ATT Communication Manager is a Windows utility for interacting with various mobile data networks. Users can attach a smartphone or compatible LaptopConnect USB device to the computer for accessing AT&T infrastructure.

How it works

After starting the program you are instructed to connect the mobile device with the inserted SIM card to the desktop. The full list of supported hardware can be found in the included documentation.

The next step is to activate the mobile data transfer in the main window. There is a signal strength indicator that can help users find the spot with better reception.

Please note that ATT Communication Manager is discontinued and no longer supported by the developer.

Wi-Fi hotspots

Another useful feature of this software is managing high-speed Wi-Fi connections. This functionality is available only on certain service plans and in select cities. You can open the Location Finder to search for active hotspots in all US states.

It is possible to enter specific zip and area codes to quickly locate the required place. All Wi-Fi hotspots are grouped into the following categories: airport, convention center, hotel, marina, MDU, office, outdoor area, restaurant, cafe, retail, sports center and university. Personal hotspots can be organized with the help of WiFi HotSpot Creator.
