This professional software contains tools for processing data acquired from 3D scanners. Users can capture sharp edges and small elements in high resolution.
Artec Studio
Artec Studio is a Windows program that lets you work with scanned 3D objects. It is possible to process huge datasets with the help of the included AI neural engine. The utility is able to analyze black or shiny surfaces. Scanner sensitivity can be adjusted in real time for easier capturing of tricky details.
Usage instructions
This application supports several models of 3D scanners manufactured by Artec such as Eva, Spider, Micro, Ray and Leo. There is an option to automatically analyze the data and quickly create a detailed 3D model based on raw values from the scanner. Alternatively, users can customize the workflow by applying a wide range of complex processing algorithms.
It is recommended to prepare the physical object for scanning by covering all transparent or dark surfaces with a thin coat of white paint. However, some modern devices are able to recognize complex elements and scan them without any modifications.
Please note that the free trial version of Artec Studio requires registering an account on the official website and will stop working 30 days after installation.
Model inspection
Resulting 3D objects can be quickly converted to the mesh format. Moreover, you can measure individual parts and calculate the area of any custom surface. It is possible to modify the model in Blender or another graphics editor.
There are instruments for combining geometry data from the Artec scanner with photos from a DSLR or smartphone camera. This way users can apply textures to all surfaces and create photorealistic 3D models.
