Amazon AppStream is a Windows utility that helps users work with any program installed on a remote server. Traffic encryption and other security options are provided.
Remote access
This client is designed for accessing a remote desktop with a variety of pre-installed software. Alternatively, users can utilize the web browser with HTML5 support for connecting to the server. However, the Windows client app offers more features and capabilities.
With this program you can use several monitors or enable 4K resolution. Moreover, USB devices and other storage media connected to your PC can be accessed on the remote desktop. Printing documents on the local printer is supported as well. It is possible to use your webcam for video and audio calls within the streaming session. You can utilize Skype for these purposes.
Additional options
The utility can be started in two modes: Native or Classic. First option lets users work with all remote applications in the main AppStream Launcher window. During the session you can interact with the programs as if they were installed on the local system. It is possible to quickly switch between the remote utilities.
When you select an app for streaming In the Classic mode of operation, it is displayed in a separate session window. You can only access one application at a time this way.
