Airmail
Airmail is a program for Windows that facilitates communication via radio technology. While it shares some similarities with Outlook, it operates differently at its core. Its main goal is to exchange messages using ham radio, Sailmail, and various licensed radio systems.
Overview
The application comes with a vintage looking graphical interface. Despite this fact, it is compatible with and can be installed on modern operating systems such as Windows 8, 10, and 11. There is support for all of the SCS modems.
Please note that the software is designed for transmitting messages via HF radio, and specifically optimized for use on low speed links. It is not a regular email client adapted for this purpose. To manage your inbox, you may try tools like Foxmail or DreamMail.
Transfer messages
If you are a new user, it is advisable to consult the help file. The configuration and operation requires a certain level of expertise. It is worth pointing out that the functionality may not be immediately intuitive without proper documentation.
After you have connected to a compatible station, message transfer occurs automatically. On the ham bands, the program can issue signals using any radio device that supports the BBS or F6FBB protocols. This includes Winlink2000, MSYS, and more.
