AirDrop is a sharing feature built into iPhone, iPad and Mac. It uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth discovery to send photos, videos, documents and other supported items to a nearby Apple device, with the recipient accepting or declining the transfer.
Platform
Apple lists iPhone, iPad and Mac as supported AirDrop devices. There is no official AirDrop program for Windows, and installing a third-party utility cannot add Apple's proprietary feature to a PC. The previous Windows title, developer and compatibility mapping were false.
