Air Display is a Windows software for adding more screen real estate to your computer. It is possible to extend the display to mobile devices or other computers via the local WiFi network. There is support for a wide range of tablet models with both iOS and Android operating systems.

Connection

It is necessary to install the counterpart mobile app to the target device. After that users are instructed to connect all equipment to the same wireless network. The next step is to launch the program on both devices and extend the display. There is an option to mirror the contents of the screen as well.

Like AirServer, Air Display contains a proprietary media compression algorithm for delivering high quality video and audio to the client device. It can be used for demanding tasks such as gaming and 3D graphics editing.

Additional functionality

You are able to connect up to four devices to the same computer. This is helpful for creating a multi monitor workstation with several iPads, Android tablets or Windows laptops.

There is support for touch input on mobile devices. Users can interact with applications to the second display with their fingers or a stylus.
