Aikido 3D is a Windows application oriented toward both professional martial artists and beginners. Users can find out how to fight with Aiki weapons such as Bokken, Jo and Tanto. Please note that Aikido 3D is a paid program. There is no free trial version.

Brief overview

This utility contains animations with detailed descriptions for every technique. All Kyu testing requirements are explained. You are able to slow down or pause the playback. Moreover, it is possible to rotate the camera and zoom in or out. These features help you memorize exact moves and actions. There are more than 60 demonstrations of standard weapon disarming moves as well.

Text explanations for all techniques are included. The embedded interactive glossary offers users a database of all Aikido terms.

Navigation

The main menu lets you select the attack type, testing requirements and Aiki weapons. There is an option to add individual clips to the list of favorites for quick future access. Like in EverNote, it is easy to add personal comments to any lesson.

Visual layers

Users can activate weapon trails and enable voiceover explanations to improve the lesson quality. Virtual footprints, distance spheres and hand closeup photos are helpful for a deeper understanding of every technique.
