Adobe XD is a Windows utility that contains instruments for creating modern user interface elements. It is possible to collaborate with other people on a single project and share the results via the Adobe cloud storage service.

Design process

After starting the application users are prompted to specify screen dimensions for the project. There are presets for building mobile app interfaces and web page layouts. Additionally, it is possible to prepare the design for sharing via Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or YouTube.

You can place custom images into the workspace. Moreover, tools for drawing various geometric shapes and inserting text inscriptions are available.

It is worth noting that, similar to Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe products, the free trial version of Adobe XD will expire 7 days after installation.

Templates

There is a large online collection of interface layout samples and standard components like buttons, menus, windows, etc. Both free and commercial libraries are available. Users can download various plugins for expanding basic functionality as well.

Prototyping

This software contains tools for creating interactive elements and configuring connections between individual components. You can test the interface to locate and fix potential design issues.
