Adobe Flash Media Encoder
Adobe Flash Media Encoder is a Windows application that lets you stream content in the Flash format. Flexible video and audio settings are provided. It is possible to preview the output before broadcasting.
Brief description
This software contains tools for grabbing the video signal from a hardware capture card and streaming it over the internet. Encoding parameters include the format, framerate, image dimensions and bitrate. There is a checkbox for preserving the original aspect ratio. Moreover, users can crop the picture and apply the deinterlacing filter. Adding the timestamp is possible as well.
The resulting video can be streamed using Flash Media Server or Flash Video Streaming Service providers. Alternatively, you are able to save the clip in the FLV format that can be opened in Standalone Flash Player. Filesize and duration limits can be configured.
Additional options
It is possible to select one of the included quality presets or manually adjust capture parameters. Up to three streams with different settings can be run simultaneously. This functionality is useful for complex broadcasts with multiple input signals.
There is an option for automatic quality adjustment. In this mode the program will skip the frames and lower the overall bitrate to maintain uninterrupted video playback.
