Adobe Flash Builder is a Windows software for developing new programs using the Flex framework and ActionScript 3.0. Programming instruments include testing and compiling modules as well as a powerful code editor with automatic syntax error checking.

Available project types

You are able to develop apps that use Adobe AIR, Flash Player and ADEP Data Services. There is full support for the Flex platform including ColdFusion and PHP. Moreover, complex ActionScript projects with Flash API can be built.

It is possible to create custom code libraries for sharing between several applications. FLA and XFL files designed in Flash Professional CS5 can be edited and debugged. There are instruments for constructing various MXML components.

Default hints for argument values include only recommended types and components that are declared in the namespace. Resulting applications can be tested, debugged and compiled.
