With the help of this software engineers can develop and optimize phase locked loop electrical circuits. Tools for simulating all key nonlinear effects are provided.
ADIsimPLL
ADIsimPLL is a Windows application that is intended for designing and simulating PLL circuits. It is possible to simulate phase noise, fractional N spurs and anti backlash pulse. There is support for a wide range of microwave wideband synthesizers, direct RF transmitters and observation receivers.
Circuit parameters
You can import existing files or create a new PLL project from scratch. Instruments for adjusting the reference frequency and loop bandwidth are included. Additionally, there is a large collection of standard reference designs.
The utility lets users view all auxiliary outputs, chip dividers, loop filters and other technical specifications of the circuit. Like in Circuit Wizard, it is possible to automatically recalculate electrical properties after making changes to the overall layout. Instruments for enabling jitter sweep are provided as well.
Simulation
There is an option to analyze the quality of the resulting circuit by simulating different outside factors that may affect its performance like spurs, anti backlash pulse and phase noise. This way engineers can gain valuable insights into their designs and make informed optimization decisions.
