ActiveScan is an advanced online scanner program for Windows that allows you to discover malware and other system threats which traditional security solutions cannot detect. Unfortunately, the developers ceased supporting this software. This means the servers that it utilizes are no longer available. However, you may use a similar tool called HijackThis.

Installation

Please note, this application relies on Yahoo! Widget Engine to work properly. You need to install it first, otherwise you would not be able to launch ActiveScan.

Once this is done, you can start the program environment and click Open Widget to import the desired component. It will open in a new window and begin the scanning process automatically. In addition, you have the ability to move it around by dragging the widget by the lower left corner.
