Active GIF Creator is a Windows application for creating and modifying GIF images. Users are able to crop, resize and rotate input media files to better fit the project. Additionally, it is possible to add text inscriptions and seamless frame transitions to the animation.

Editing tools

You can duplicate and merge imported images. Moreover, a variety of visual effects such as ripple, color mask, texture, marble and shake is provided. Each filter has different modes.

There is a library of clipart graphics. Users are able to rotate and resize individual elements before placing them into the workspace.

Similar to Easy GIF Animator, the timeline on the left side of the main window lets you reorder and delete separate frames. It is possible to manually specify the delay for each image.

Animation parameters

Tools for creating looped GIFs are included. Users can optimize the resulting animation by automatically cropping transparent areas, removing redundant pixels and sorting the color map. Additionally, there are options for erasing image titles and comments to further reduce the filesize.

Finished projects can be saved to the hard drive as GIF animations. Alternatively, you are able to export individual frames as static images.
