Absinthe is a Windows software for removing artificial restrictions from iOS 5.1.1. After unlocking the mobile phone or tablet you can access the internal file system, change the visual appearance of the interface and install applications from unofficial sources.

Usage instructions

It is recommended to create a backup copy of all important data before proceeding with jailbreaking. iTunes or MobiMover can be used for this purpose. Another optional step is to reset the device to factory settings. This process will erase all personal data from the phone and greatly speed up the unlocking process.

After that users can connect the mobile device to the computer via USB cable and run the included executable file. Compatible phones and tablets will be detected automatically. The Jailbreak button begins the operation.

Final steps

Unlocking can take up to several hours depending on the amount of filled internal memory. Please do not unplug the phone during jailbreak. It may lead to hardware failure. When the process is complete, you are able to restore previously backed up information using iTunes.
