abrMate is a lightweight program for Windows that gives you the ability to load Photoshop brush sets for close inspection in a large preview area. With the help of this tool, you can also export them for editing, replacement or another kind of modification in the PNG format.

Setup and functionality

The installation process takes a short amount of time to finish. However, since the software was built in the NET Framework environment, you need to ensure that its components are deployed on the computer. It is worth noting that recent Windows iterations come with this specific service bundled.

As the name suggests, the utility works with ABR files, which represent the proprietary Adobe format used to store brushes. Since any set can be found online, it is good to have a method of checking them out before applying them to your projects. Keep in mind that Photoshop does not need to be installed for the app to run properly.

The program stores all of its features within a simple and intuitive graphical interface that does not pose any accommodation problems.
