4Plan is a Windows tool that allows both beginners and professionals to create interior and exterior house designs. It is easy to draw detailed floor plans of any size and shape, experimenting with different layouts and configurations. An option to preview the room in 3D mode is available as well.

Design process

After starting the utility you can begin a new project from scratch by clicking the corresponding button. The next step is to specify room properties, including:

Length;
Width;
Ceiling height;
Wall thickness;
Door placement.

Similar to Chief Architect, there is a collection of windows, stairs, roofs, fences and gates. Various furniture items might be added to the design such as sofas, armchairs, tables, desks, cabinets, wardrobes, etc. Moreover, users are able to choose the most appropriate kitchen and bathroom appliances.

Project customization

It is possible to apply different textures to any surface. There are multiple materials like concrete, marble, leather, metal, wood, wallpaper and more. Additionally, you can change the color of individual items to match specific requirements. Finished designs may be saved to the hard drive or sent to the printer.
